millo is showcasing its new take on the blender at CES Las Vegas

There is a whole lot going on inside millo, the world’s smartest blender: a unique patented Magnetic Air Drive, engineering adapted from cutting edge drone tech, an innovative suite of sensors and settings designed to deliver the perfect smoothie every time.

But at its heart, millo is all about healthy living. And at CES 2020, the minds behind millo will be taking this vision one step further, by presenting a specially designed integrated kitchen table. Incorporating an induction cooktop, the millo blender, and smart touch sensitive controls, this is how millo sees the future of foodtech.

The modern conundrum: How to eat healthier?

With the WHO reporting in 2018 that 1.9 billion adults globally are overweight, and an April 2019 article in the Lancet magazine indicating that a low intake of fruits and grains can have fatal consequences, the need for a healthy diet has never been more pressing. Maintaining that healthy diet is, however, not so simple. That is where millo comes in.

The solution: The blender 2.0

Blenders have long been in need of a rethink. Noisy, bulky and difficult to clean, they have tended to be used and then hidden away. In fact, the basic blender design has remained unchanged for 100 years.

millo intends to change all that by making blending a pleasure, not a chore.

Mixing innovative drone tech and an eye for sleek design, millo has already attracted media attention and awards, with Mashable commenting; “If Apple made a blender, this would be it.”  Meanwhile, it has scooped awards in 2019 at both IFA Berlin and SKS Seattle, and is ranked in the Foodtech 500.

But millo isn’t sitting still. At CES 2020 they will be previewing their vision for the kitchen of the future.  They are bringing a fully integrated kitchen unit that will incorporate an induction cooktop, their smart blender, and touch sensitive controls. This will be a unique working prototype that has been tailor designed and built for CES.

What makes the millo blender special?

First off, millo’s patented Magnetic Air Drive means it is the quietest blender on the marketmillo uses a patented brushless magnetic engine that allows for the contactless transfer of torque from the base to the blades. This removes noise caused by mechanical friction and makes millo incredibly safe to use. The motor consists of a magnetic coupling that spins the blades housed in the cup without having to actually be in contact with them.  All of this is made possible through the application of brushless motor technology that was first developed for drones - the first time such technology has been used in a household appliance

The fact that its blades are housed in the blending cup also makes millo easier to clean. And because the blades are not connected to the base, the entire blender can be separated into two easily packed pieces for added portability. What is more, with a USB port that is chargeable in 2 hours, millo can be used anywhere.

The team behind millo also understand that it is not enough for the drive technology and exterior design to be first class, the blender also has to be smart. Millo is equipped with sensors that can detect and adjust the consistency of the mix to create the perfect smoothie. Not only that, the blender will automatically stop when that consistency has been reached. The blender itself, meanwhile, can be triggered by touching anywhere on the base, or from the special millo app.

For millo, its blender is only the beginning. The company has plans to promote further foodtech applications for its Magnetic Air Drive technology, all with the aim of promoting healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.

Integrating millo into the kitchen of the future at CES 2020

CES 2020 in Las Vegas will see millo unveiling its vision of how their blender can be integrated into a truly modern kitchen. This will be a unique one of a kind exclusive event, where visitors to the company’s booth will be able to see millo in action as part of an integrated table that will be equipped with an induction cooktop and smart touch sensitive controls.  As Ruslanas explains, this will be the perfect way to experience millo for the first time:

“Millo is about the future, it’s not only about giving you the convenience and tech you need to maintain that smart, healthy diet you are always promising yourself. It’s about creating something beautiful that will blend beautifully into the kind of kitchen that will take care of you, instead of you having to take care of it.  At CES Las Vegas we’ll be presenting our first steps toward that dream. We would love you to come and experience it with us.”

Millo will be presenting the millo blender at booth 40346 at CES 2020 in Las Vegas on 7-10th January 2020.
